Welcome to the Lost & Found archive, featuring photographs and reports from our evenings as well as information about the participating artists. All flyers have been photographed; their materiality is visible, with corners, folds, and relief retaining their tactile quality on screen.This site takes the form of a growth model and behaves as a work in its own right: it is always, and never, finished. The site functions as an archive and is not updated regularly; if you wish for a change or update, you may submit a request.
Since 1997, over 200 sessions of stray images and sound have been organised. Artists, writers, scientists and musicians present work in progress, experiment or present work that doesn't fit into their oeuvre (yet). A specific and unique stage for diverse and hybrid works which don't fit comfortably into galleries or museums.

De ingang naar de Waag Society is bereikbaar via een brug die over de bouwput is geslagen. Er wordt aan een nieuwe fundering gewerkt. De wenteltrap leidt naar het anatomisch theater in een van de torens waar chirurgijnen in zwartgallige tijden boevenlijken opensneden. Nu schijnt er de zon en wordt het bezoek onthaald met Opal. Een in feestbekers uitgeschonken zwart stroperige vloeistof dat naar tandpasta en drop smaakt.

Julia van Mourik leidt de avond in. Roken moet buiten. Drinken moet binnen. Anders voelen de terrasbezoekers zich verongelijkt en komen ze hun gram halen bij het horecapersoneel; dat zij ook liever hun eigen consumpties uit eigen feestbekertjes willen drinken. De nooduitgang is er wel, maar zit dicht. Julia: ‘There is a window,’ ze wijst naar de openstaande torenramen, 14 meter boven de bouwput, ‘what the hell, there is not going to be a fire tonight.’ Het thema van de avond; IJsland.
